Careers Information for Students

Uplands School aims to help you:

  • Be prepared for adulthood.
  • Be as independent as possible.
  • Have all the information and support you need to make choices for your future.
  • Know what you are good at and enjoy doing.
  • Know how that can help you and others now and in the future.
  • Know about different jobs.
  • Have a happy life by using your skills and hobbies to help yourself and others.
  • Develop your employability skills e.g. searching for jobs, writing your CV, making job applications and practising interview skills.
  • Develop your work skills to help you be successful in volunteering and employment in the future.
