Careers Information for School Staff
Uplands School follows the Equals curriculum which aims to support young people developing the life skills they need with as much independence as possible, focusing on the functional aspects of learning. All staff at Uplands School are involved in CEIAG for our young people; both to support their knowledge and skill development and to raise their confidence and aspirations. This takes place through:
- Citizenship which is embedded through the curriculum
- The B Skills ‘Careers’ framework throughout the school
- Work and Careers lessons in sixth form
- Enterprise activities
- Work-related learning
- Work experience
- Preparation for adulthood related work linked to their EHCP
